There were a number of letters to the editor in support of a Fred Thompson candidacy in newspapers around the nation today. Note you can use this tool to write your own Fred-related letter.

Walter Jackson writes the following in the Montgomery Advertiser:

Perhaps the best new possibility for leadership for true conservatives and Republicans in the 2008 presidential race is Alabama native Fred Thompson.

I find it funny people worry that he is an actor. We seem to think that actors’ opinions mean something in almost any subject these days. He has experience in Washington, having served as senator from Tennessee. Fred is more than just an actor or politician; he is a communicator like Reagan and the ability to communicate true conservative values are needed today.

Sam Clement writes the following in the Clarion Ledger:

I want to encourage every Republican in this city, state and country to get involved in encouraging and supporting the candidacy of former U.S. Sen. Fred Thompson of Tennessee. This man has the integrity and the will to be a strong president for these United States.
